Diamond painting is the darling of the paintings and craft world. A relative innovation, it has become a popular hobby for crafters around the globe as a means of relaxation and fun. The fact which makes this activity interesting is that you don't need any artistic skills or experience like regular painters. You just have to pay attention and focus your mind in order to complete your Drill Crafts Paintings.
Are you a beginner or is this hobby new to you? You can actually compare Diamond Painting to painting, only with stones instead of paint! We recommend that you start with round stones. This is often easier to place than square diamonds.
Label each bag with stones
No empty egg cartons lying around? No problem. Sort your stones in the plastic zip bags that come with your diamond painting or use one of our sorting boxes. Use a marker to label each bag with the corresponding number or symbol.
Remove Everything From The Package
Usually, the kits are all the same, regardless of manufacturer or brand. Even if they differ slightly, everyone should include at the very least the following:
A pre-printed Canvas
Beads
Wax/Glue
A pen, also known as Diamond Applicator Tool
A small tray
After gathering all the equipment, unwrap the painting and flatten it on the flat surface that you have chosen.
Remove air bubbles with a hobby knife
Air bubbles may also form during the placement of the stones. This can occur, for example, when the diamonds are not properly bonded. You can easily solve this!
First, remove the plastic wrap from the piece where the air bubbles are visible. Then use a hobby knife and carefully cut through the air bubble with the knife. Be careful not to cut through the canvas, but only over the air bubble. You have to do this very lightly, because it doesn't require a lot of pressure. The adhesive layer is very thin. That's how the air is released! Replace the plastic wrap and press hard again. You can also put a heavy object on it for a few days.
